Lutheran Church

Photo of the inside of lutheran church The Lutheran Church, Manse and Hall are located at the Northern end of Main Street. Services in a variety of styles and with a mixture of hymns and songs are conducted each Sunday. Service times are displayed outside the church, listed in the Community Calendar in the Black and White Rag, displayed on the Community Notice Board and distributed to the parish.

In general, 1st and 3rd Sundays in the month are at 8.45am and 2nd and 4th Sundays are at 10.30am. When there is a 5th Sunday in the month, a 'special' service or venue is arranged.

The 4th Sunday service is a joint 'Family Service' with the Brinkworth Uniting Church. It is held in the Lutheran Church, and is usually followed by a sausage sizzle. The Christmas Eve Service – where children are especially involved – is alternated each year with the Uniting Church. This is also the situation for the World Day of Prayer Service in March each year, for the Good Friday Service and for the Blessing of the Seed and Soil Service outdoors.

The Ladies Fellowship meets monthly on Tuesday mornings. A program, which also involves the ladies of Snowtown Lutheran Church, is drawn up each year. For more information please contact Coral Dutschke ( Ph 88462112). A Card Day is arranged annually to raise funds for the local schools’ Christian Pastoral Support Workers.

Small groups meet at times for Fellowship/Discussion during the winter months. All are welcome to attend worship or these activities or call on Pastor Fin if the need arises.
